Tidbits – A Baldwin County Newspaper – Editor’s Note

I hit the distribution trail this week in the Orange Beach area.  I walked into a restaurant in Orange Beach and was greeted by a group of Snowbirds and one kind gentleman in the group shouted “The Tidbits!”.  I could hardly contain my grin as the group took ten papers off my hands before I could even reach the stand.

While running distribution in Gulf Shores, my husband ran into the Michigan Club Snowbirds enjoying breakfast.  (They are pictured below in our Caught Reading Tidbits photo.)  They were very complimentary in regard to the new look and content of Tidbits and, at the end of the day, we found ourselves realizing our hard work has materialized into a truly positive publication.

We’d like to thank all of the friendly faces and warm smiles out there this week.  We’d also like to recognize our distributors who buckle in, do the leg work and get the job done every week.  We are grateful for your commitment to delivering our uplifting publication.

Should you have distribution questions or needs, please feel free to contact us at 251-229-4519.

“Caught Reading Tidbits”

Tidbits – A Baldwin County Newspaper – Editor’s Note

I’ve had the pleasure of crossing paths with and meeting a number of Snowbirds this week.  From my own condo complex to restaurants and even the doctor’s office, Snowbirds are enjoying their time in Baldwin County and we are pleased when they smile and mention that they are reading Tidbits during their stay.  We’ve even had a few drop in our Foley office and pick up back issues of Tidbits and we are always happy to provide those when available.

Our family truly enjoys the slower pace of the winter season but with the weather warming, we are hopeful families and visitors will choose to head south for a weekend getaway.  I’ve been urging some of our family to make the trip for golf, fishing and some great dining.  I’m hoping everyone else takes on the philosophy of, “Come on down and invite your friends!”.

Wishing everyone a wonderful week,

Audrey Chambers

Note from the Editor

“Be sure to go by the grocery and get wings for tonight!” my son said as he exited the car for school this morning.  When this issue of Tidbits hits the streets we will have a new BCS National Champion.  Will the state of Alabama continue its winning streak or will Louisiana have bragging rights for the next 364 days?  As of now, we are still hours away from a Champion, however there is one certainty – we’ll be eating hot wings during the game at our house.

Other than a few foggy mornings, we’ve had a week of beautiful weather here in Baldwin County.  The days have been mild and pleasant and it’s wonderful to see everyone return to fishing, golf, biking,  motorcycling and outdoor play. My primary exercise routine involves walking our energetic schnoodle, Cash, and even he has had extra pep in his step this week.

We are gearing up for Valentine’s Day and Mardi Gras kick off here at Tidbits.  We are so fortunate to have a plethora of great shopping, dining and entertainment establishments in our area and we’d like to remind everyone to shop Baldwin County first!

Wishing everyone a wonderful week,

Audrey Chambers

A Note From the Editor

The holidays are over and I’m feeling a little rusty as I get back into the swing of things this new year.  The kids are back in school and, if you’re like me, you’re breathing a sigh of relief that the school schedule has resumed.  My kids were very excited to get back to the books and I’m hoping their enthusiasm will last until May however, I predict that is wishful thinking.

It was really great seeing a glint in the eyes of the Auburn Tigers at the Chick-fil-A Bowl.  The SEC consistently proves to be a force with which many cannot reckon.  Alabama, Auburn and LSU are all represented here within the Tidbits family and we eagerly await the announcement of a new National Champion.  It looks as if we have one more good reason to break out some of our game day menu favorites.

Are you sticking to your New Year’s resolutions?  I mumbled a few under my breath on New Year’s eve but I have a feeling sticking to them will be an evolution process.  Whether you’re looking to quit, start, lose, gain or continue to proceed on an even kilter, God designed you for his pleasure and purpose and His direction will take you exactly where you need to be!

Wishing everyone a wonderful week,

Audrey Chambers
